Learning visions are brought to life at Q110 – The Deutsche Bank of the Future

Deutsche Bank welcomes visitors to Friedrichstrasse in Berlin with a branch unique throughout Germany: “Q110 – Die Deutsche Bank der Zukunft (The Deutsche Bank of the Future)” presents ideas and innovative concepts for the banking of tomorrow. A convivial setting for consultations and appointments is created by a highly transparent and atmospheric branch design, a lounge area, a “Kids’ Corner”, a trendshop and a “gallery of wishes” with themes of interest to many people with a keen eye towards the future.

The current exhibition at Q110, running from 4 May to 7 July 2011, uses a Cyber-Classroom to present the important theme of “Learning in the Future”. It demonstrates educational possibilities which technically and creatively cover new ground. The aim is to present perspectives and visions for all educational institutions as to how modern forms of learning can already be put into practice today.

VS Furniture – as the furnishing partner – has fitted out the “Gallery of Wishes” at Q110 with innovative school and media furniture. The dynamic seating furniture Hokki and PantoMove, the generously dimensioned TeamTable and a Lounge island which offers an acoustically shielded relaxation area are now on show in Berlin, as is the InteractiveCenter media furniture with integrated 3D display screen for a captivating presentation of virtual learning content. And VS products are also on sale in the trendshop.

The display windows looking out onto Friedrichstrasse are furnished with historic furniture exhibits from the VS Collection dating back to the beginning of the 20th Century. The old school desks build a bridge of flexible furniture innovations to the past, since they were made by one of the founding companies of VS the school and office furnisher, namely the company Paul Johannes Müller, which was based in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Further partners in the CyberClassroom are the Stuttgart-based company Visenso and TSystems.

A visit to Q110 in Berlin is an inspiring experience and highly recommended. Larger groups, school classes and students can register at www.q110.de for conducted tours.
