Better furniture for better cuisine

Flexible setup. Creating new spaces.

In the school canteen new spaces can be created through greater flexibility. This is because the canteen is only used as such for a short period every day. When lunch is over, the canteen area is often used for other purposes. It is then necessary to reorganise tables and chairs quickly and without problems – for playtime, teamwork, study groups or free-time activities.

Particularly flexible furniture is therefore called for in the canteen. VS’ solution: NetWork tables on castors, put together in any combination of round, trapezoidal or rectangular individual elements. They can be easily put together and where necessary pushed to one side. Series 600 mobile shelf elements serve as storage space for dishes and tableware and as a serving counter for food and drink. They are movable – and can be positioned at any time as conveniently as possible. This enables older children to serve themselves.

LiteTable – the space saver

Optimised table utilisation - economy of space made easy: with the lightweight LiteTable. This stackable table is extremely light – but at the same time highly robust, thanks to its high-strength table top. With its outer and inner legs arranged in pairs, the LiteTable can be stacked (up to seven one on top of the other), but can also be lined up against each other without gaps in between. The effect: lots of space is created despite the fact that the furniture remains in the room.

In spite of its small dimensions of only 80 x 80 cm, it can seat four pupils comfortably for lunch. This is made possible by the use of space-saving trapezoidal trays, for which there is room for four on the LiteTable. In this way, functional canteen solutions which are optimised with economy of space in mind can be realised.

Gaining flexibility: stackable tables and chairs

How flexibly a room can be utilised is crucially dependent on the furniture. How much alteration does it allow – how much freedom does it open up? Furniture from VS offers such multifunctionality. It is so flexible that in rooms which temporarily serve as the school canteen other activities can be held for the remainder of the day in no time at all. Tables and chairs are simply moved to one side and stacked to save space.

Even the PantoFour-LuPo four-legged stackable table plays its part and can be stacked with great ease. In this way, the job of filling large rooms with chairs is made easier. What is unique about the PantoFour is that its seat shell made of double-walled, structured polypropylene provides a pleasant air-cushion effect. Furthermore, the plastic shell is not only highly durable, it is also particularly light and easy to clean.
