FAQs Application Process General
At VS, you can preferably apply via the relevant job listing on jobs.vs.de. Alternatively, we also accept applications by post at VS Vereinigte Spezialmöbelfabriken, Human Resources, Hochhäuser Str. 8, 97941 Tauberbischofsheim.
The relevant documents in an application are a cover letter, CV and your most recent references and certificates that highlight your qualification for the job advertised.
If your application has been successfully transmitted via our online systems, you will automatically receive confirmation of receipt by email. Sometimes transmission can take several minutes.
If you have not received confirmation receipt of your online application after an hour, feel free to contact us by email on vs@vs-moebel.de
If you send your application by email or post, you will also receive confirmation of receipt. Even though we aim to respond to you as quickly as possible, if you apply by email or post this can take longer than an application using our online tool because it has to be processed manually.
Every application is thoroughly checked by the HR department and the relevant specialist department as quickly as possible. Depending on the volume of applications, this may take some time. As soon as the first sifting has been completed, you will get the appropriate feedback from us.
Yes, you can send us a speculative application at any time. We then check whether we currently have any need. Often, interesting applications motivate us to check whether it is possible to employ the person at VS and to create new jobs.
FAQs Trainings and Studies
In principle, our apprenticeship and study offerings cover eight apprenticeships and seven courses of study, both in the technical and business sectors. As we train according to need it is possible that we aren’t looking for new talents in every job and course of study every year. You can find an overview of the current vacant positions here.
At VS we don’t have a set application deadline for the apprenticeship and studies sectors. As soon as you have your school-leaving certificate, you can apply to use for an apprenticeship or course of study starting the following year. For example, if you want to apply for a course of study starting in the autumn of 2024, you can send your application to us as soon as the summer of 2023. We are happy to accept applications even earlier, in which case you can simply send your leaving certificate later.
The relevant documents in an application are a cover letter, a CV and your most recent references and certificates. We are also interested in hearing about your personal interest, your hobbies and why you want to be an apprentice in this particular job with us. Obviously, this also applies to students of dual courses of study.
If we invite you to an interview, this means: you have aroused our interest! Now we want to get to know you better to find out whether we really are a good match. For example, we want to learn why you are interested in VS as an employer or why you want to learn this particular job/complete this particular course of study. Naturally, you will also be given the opportunity to get to know us better and ask your questions. The most important thing is: just be yourself because we are interested in your personality just as much as your school marks.
FAQs Placements and Holiday Jobs
In principle, school pupil’s placements and professional orientation placements can be completed with us. It’s usually possible for all apprenticeship jobs. Upon receipt of the application, we then always check a possible placement individually in consultation with the specialist department. Therefore, please always state the relevant specialist department/apprenticeship job relating to the placement you would like in your application.
Of course you can apply to us to complete your mandatory placement. Please enclose a copy of your current enrolment certificate with your application.
Between June and September we are grateful for all support from holiday casuals. As soon as we need support, we publish the vacancies for a holiday job. From that moment, it is possible to apply via our online portal.
